Plexiglass earrings made in Lomé by Togolese artisans with patterns inspired by African wax fabrics. The earring hooks are silver.

We met Valérie in 2017 in Cotonou, during one of her exhibitions/markets in a well-known space in the Beninese city. I had recently arrived, and all the artisanal products I saw, the fabrics, and the colors were literally captivating me day after day. The plexiglass jewelry she offered was highly original, modern, elegant, and featured African print motifs: a perfect mix.

Valérie and her husband's project perfectly embodies the philosophy behind likeUafrica: investing in the creativity and beauty of Made in Africa. Because "Africa is chic," and it's important to spread this side of it, promote it, and support it.

Valerie and her husband were born in Togo. They grew up in France, where they studied and became artists. The desire to return to their roots and work in Togo, creating value, came in 2014: plexiglass jewelry made with modern materials and local designs is among the first products of their business, which now employs several artisans on a permanent basis.

The earrings are available in various shapes. See other listings and the link for Small Togo Earrings and Long Togo Earrings.
