Flat Moroccan trays are designed for wall or table decoration.
The diameter is 34 cm for the white basket and 30 cm for the orange/ochre one. They are made according to Moroccan tradition from straw and woven woolen threads. The workmanship is similar to that of the Senegalese baskets you've seen on this site for a while. The difference lies in the woven threads. Senegalese baskets are made with colored plastic threads, often recycled. Moroccan ones are made with woolen threads, a material found in North Africa.
